The University of Leeds is awarding an exciting opportunity of £2,500 to exceptional students who are willing to undergo a degree program at the Institution in the School of Physics and Astronomy International Excellence Scholarships

University of Leeds Vice-Chancellor and Russell Group chairman Michael Arthurparticipated, giving an academic perspective alongside current vice-chancellor of Kingston University and former Pro Vice-Chancellor and Professor of Education at the University of Leeds, Sir Peter Scott. Midway through the broadcast a small group of protesters against the potential rise of student debt entered the building before being restrained and evacuated.

In 2016, The University of Leeds became University of the Year 2017 in The Times and The Sunday Times’ Good University Guide. The university has risen to 13th place overall, which reflects impressive results in student experience, high entry standards, services and facilities, and graduate prospects.

In 2018, the global world ranking of the University of Leeds is No.93. There are currently 30,842 students are studying in this university. The average tuition fee is £9,250 (~$12,000-12,500) per year, although there are cases where there are partial subsidies towards this cost.

The research activity covers the following main areas: Star and planetary system formation; Spintronics in condensed matter; Experimental biophysics and bio-nanoscience; Dynamics of polymers and complex fluids; and Quantum information theory and its applications.

In addition, they are applying tgeir collective expertise to the development of sustainable energy harvesting and storage, and towards translation into healthcare and medicine.

Eligibility criteria for the School of Physics and Astronomy International Excellence Scholarships

  • Your programme must start at the University of Leeds in October 2022.
  • You must be self-funding, full-time, classified as international for tuition fee purposes, and not be in receipt of any other School of Chemistry award.
  • You must provide evidence of your competence in written and spoken English.
