2022/2023 Rotary Peace Master’s and Certificate Scholarship for International Students in the UK, USA, Sweden and Australia

Rotary Peace Master’s and Certificate Scholarship, Rotary choose up to 130 peace and development leaders across the world to receive a fully-funded academy scholarship program to study Master’s Degree or professional development certificate program tailored to peace and conflict resolution and prevention at one of the accredited peace centres around the world such as Uganda, Japan, Uk, Australia, Sweden, Thailand and USA. The chosen candidate may not study at a Rotary Peace Center in their home country. Thailand candidates are except, they may attend the centre at Chulalongkorn University, candidates from Uganda, and may attend the centre at Makerere University. Through academic practice, training and world networking opportunities, the Rotary Peace Centers program develop the capacity of peace and development professionals to become effective catalysts for peace.

 

Over the year 1947, over 30,000 men and women from 100 nations have studied abroad thanks to Rotary. The Ambassadorial Scholarship program was the world’s largest privately funded international scholarship program. Over 1,100 scholarship opportunities were awarded for study in 2002-03. Grants totalled US$26 million. Candidates from 69 countries studied in over 64 nations. Rotary Peace Masters Degree and Professional Development Certificate Scholarship started in 2002, our Peace Centers have trained over 1,500 fellows who now work in over 115 countries. Many operate as leaders in governments, NGOs, education and research institutions, peacekeeping and law enforcement agencies, and international organizations like the United Nations and the World Bank. Eligibility for Rotary Peace Master’s and Certificate Scholarship

  • The Rotary Peace Fellowship is structured for professionals with work experience in peace and conflict prevention and resolution or international relations, The following requirements must be met by each applicant:
  • Applicant must have three years of work experience related to the master’s program
  • Be proficient in English
  • Have a bachelor’s degree
  • Have a strong commitment to cross-cultural understanding and peace as shown through professional and academic achievements and personal or community service
  • Potential for leadership
  • Have at least three years of full-time relevant experience in peace or development work
  • Applicants must have at least three years between the completion of their most recent academic degree program undergraduate or graduate degree and their intended start date for the fellowship. Candidates currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program are not eligible to apply.
  • Rotary Peace Fellows who have completed the certificate program, or a Global Grant Scholarship, must wait three years between the end date of that program and their intended start date for the fellowship.

Districts must submit endorsed applications to The Rotary Foundation by 1 July 2022.
