The Curtin University – Australia is offering School of Molecular and Life Sciences HDR International Scholarships opportunity to students who are seeking to undergo a degree program at the Institution. Successful students will receive a stipend valued at around $29,000 per annum along with tuition fee cover for up to 3 years of study at Curtin University.
Three PhD student scholarships are available in the School of Molecular and Life Sciences at Curtin University, Australia. The successful candidates will work with Associate Professor Guohua Jia on his Australian Research Council (ARC) Future Fellowship project (2D nanomaterial heterostructures for photocatalytic hydrogen production), ARC Discovery project (Inorganic/organic Hybrids for flexible thermoelectric generators) and The Hebrew University of Jerusalem – Zelman Cowen Academic Initiatives (ZCAI) Joint Project (Modern X-ray detectors based on 2D metal halide perovskites). These projects aim to develop inorganic nanocrystals with controlled size, shape, composition that are responsive to light, heat and x-ray towards energy harvesting and storage, thermoelectric and optoelectronic devices. Eligibility criteria for the School of Molecular and Life Sciences HDR International Scholarships
- Applicants must be domestic or international students with a relevant bachelor’s degree.
- Applicants must be holding a Bachelor’s degree (first-class honors or upper second-class honors) in Chemistry, Materials Engineering, or related fields.
- Applicants must submit scores of the following English language proficiency tests:
- IELTS – 6.5
- TOEFL – 79
